What do we mean by nature?
We mean robust biodiversity, strong and healthy soils, and clean and functioning freshwater systems. We mean dynamic habitats that change under the influence of animals, we mean rivers that move, scrub that turns to forest, grasslands that grow and shrink over time, everything rich with insects, birds and mammals.
We understand how nature works better than we ever have, and that will help us help nature to restore itself, which we believe it will do with no time to waste when given the chance. We believe in respecting nature’s schedule, and we don’t want to bypass essential natural processes by digging, planting and managing.
If you want a forest, let nature plant it. It might not look so tidy as the neat rows of trees in a plantation, but it will be stronger and most importantly, more climate resilient in the long term.
